Commercial Driver Reports (CDR) provide information to mitigate the Risk of potential accidents. When the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) implemented Hours Of Service (H.O.S.), it was from many years of studies and violations, from Drivers operating a CMV without adequate rest. This is why a Driver with multiple H.O.S. violations should be considered High Risk.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), has reported over 38,800 fatalities in 2020, and Semi Trucking accidents have also contributed to the increase of accidents across our interstates. This is why our Commercial Driver Report (CDR) displays traffic violations within 24 -48 hours of the incident; before a conviction has been entered in the court. I must stress the importance of monitoring Drivers that have pending violations, because once a conviction have been identified; constant monitoring will start at the onset of the violation, to protect the interest of the Shipper, and insure they have continued coverage on their freight. This concludes this demonstration and thank you for your time.
